KUALA LUMPUR ( Heritage Buildings and New Architectual Stuctures)

Kuala Lumpur ( meaning Muddy Confluence) or KL is the size of about 244 km2 with a population of about two milion. It evolved from a small village with the flourishing of tin mining in the 19th century. KL is an enclave within the state of Selangor, rich with heritage buildings as well as dazzling new architectural structures.

KL achieved city status on 1 February 1972 and was declared a Federal Territory in 1974. Despite undergoing rapid development, the city retains its lush greenery and gardens. The City Hall is also doing its best in maintaining and upgrading its parks and landscaped gardens.
